Biodiversity Net Gain for New Housing Developments
All new developments in England must create 10% biodiversity net gain, achieved by habitat creation & land management over 30 years. Streamline your project and be guided by our expert team through the planning process.
We will help you every step of the way from calculating your BNG requirements, to working with your team and LPA throughout the planning application, and taking all responsibility for all of the required offsite management, reporting, & monitoring after purchase. We can work with you to maximise your on site contribution and can provide an full offsite BNG solution.
Our expert guidance and a simple purchase of BNG units allow you to easily comply with regulations and speed up your planning applications. We will take responsibility for all land management & reporting for the full 30 year period. Our BNG units are verified by a third party and free of risk for your company.
How to Buy Biodiversity Net Gain Units
Buy Established BNG Units
Buy BNG units directly from our pre-established habitat banks.
Send us your requirements and we will provide a competitive quote.
We specialise in Biodiversity Net Gain units in Hampshire & Sussex.

Ideal for complex projects with multiple &/ high distinctiveness habitat types.

Reduce your BNG spending commitment with intelligent planning, units close to your development, and timelines structured to your project.
Bespoke BNG
Solutions
Availability
Certificate
Satisfy planning requirements by obtaining a certificate of BNG unit availability, with no requirement to buy.
Secure prices & ensure availability so that there are no delays or unexpected costs.
Nutrient Mitigation
Over a quarter of LPAs, including Chichester District Council, must ensure nutrient neutrality for new dwellings. We can provide straightforward support to guide you through this complex issue.
We can assess your projects or you can send us your nitrate budget calculator / site plan. Then purchase nitrate mitigation credits in one simple transaction to meet your environmental commitments. We will manage the off-site mitigation and once credits are purchased you have fulfilled your obligations.

Strategic Ecological Planning
Our CIEEM accredited ecologists understand the challengers developers face and the need to protect the environment. Their unique viewpoints and expertise allow them to navigate complicated situations and find solutions that work for all parties.

We can undertake any ecological work, from surveying, to advising during the planning stages, and ensuring all of your legal requirements are met. We specialise in BNG, nutrient mitigation, & are experts in the unique ecology of the South Coast of England.
Water Neutrality
New developments in certain regions of England, particularly areas facing water stress such as parts of West Sussex, must not increase overall water demand on local water resources. Projects must be 'water neutral,' meaning total water use after the development is no greater than before, to protect sensitive wildlife sites and ensure long-term water supply resilience.
Achieving water neutrality typically involves improving water efficiency in new buildings, introducing measures like rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling, and offsetting any increased water use by reducing consumption elsewhere in the same supply zone. We can create robust water neutrality statements and detailed water budgets that will satisfy planners and expedite planning approval.

Species Mitigation
A critical process aimed at preventing harm to protected species—such as bats, great crested newts, and dormice—when new development is proposed. We can conduct thorough ecological surveys to identify presence and habitats of protected species, and follow the established mitigation hierarchy: first avoiding adverse impacts where possible, then minimizing unavoidable effects, and compensating for residual impacts through habitat creation or enhancement measures. Where impacts cannot be avoided, we will secure mitigation licences from Natural England, demonstrating that your project includes measures like translocation of species, replacement of habitats, and ongoing monitoring and management to maintain the conservation status of affected populations.

Carbon Credits
Carbon credits are increasingly relevant in planning processes across England, enabling developers and organizations to offset unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions from new projects by investing in verified carbon reduction or removal schemes such as reforestation or peatland restoration. Each carbon credit typically represents one metric tonne of carbon dioxide (or equivalent) avoided or removed from the atmosphere, and participation in these schemes aligns with the UK’s national strategy for net zero emissions by 2050. For planning applications, particularly where local policies require or recommend offsetting, developers must use high-integrity carbon credits and demonstrate how they fit into a broader carbon reduction and sustainability strategy

Phosphate Mitigation

Phosphate credits play a key role in the planning system in England by enabling new developments to achieve nutrient neutrality—especially in sensitive catchment areas affected by water pollution from excess phosphate. Credits are typically generated through strategic environmental mitigation projects, such as the creation of integrated wetlands that actively remove phosphates from watercourses, and are allocated to developers based on strict technical, legal, and ecological criteria. Securing and using credits is often tied to Section 106 planning agreements and planning conditions, with developers required to reserve credits before permission is granted and provide supporting evidence that mitigation will successfully neutralize the impact of their development before commencing or occupying the site. This approach supports compliance with the Habitats Regulations Assessment and enables sustainable growth while protecting rivers and streams from nutrient enrichment.
